We Eat: Gyoza

“Gyoza” is Japanese for pan-fried dumplings or potstickers. They’re typically filled with a mixture of ground pork, minced cabbage, garlic, ginger and sesame oil.

This is a meal that we usually end up making together because it’s a little time consuming. I make the filling and assemble the dumplings, and my husband cooks them. Today was no exception. The person not busy with the dumplings was watching or playing with the baby ^^

It takes a while to put the filling into the wrappers and crimp the edges, but it’s worth it. We usually make enough to eat them for two or three nights.

Served with rice and red miso soup, they make a filling meal without having to eat too many dumplings in one sitting. ♡
